No Substitutes: If you don't have LED powered fog lights, then you're just behind the times! Thankfully the new Morimoto XB LED projector fog lights: Look great. Are well-built. Perform like champs. Have a virtually infinite life span. An unbeatable warranty, And best of all you won't need to sell your soul to afford them! Many of the guys here at the shop use them on their own vehicles, and they're easily one of our most popular product lines.
Compatible: With many modern applications from Mazda, these complete fog light housings will swap directly in place of the original halogen units that they're designed to replace, using all of the stock mounting locations. Their aim can be perfectly dialed in with the integrated height adjusters. Check the compatibility section below for a list of known applications.
Plug n Play: Wiring is easy too! The XB LED Fogs are designed to work without any special wiring. They will plug into the factory connectors for the stock fog lights and each assembly includes all necessary connectors, rubber seals, and pigtails for a plug n play install.
Powered: By three Philips Luxeon-T 5500K LED's that produce around 1200 raw lumens per side. The projector based optics concentrate a total of 2400 lumens of pure white light into a beam that's super wide and perfectly distributed for use as a fog light. Make no mistake, these will produce a much different [better] result than slapping some LED replacement bulbs into your stock housings. The XB fogs meet & exceed all SAE, DOT, and ECE regulations.
Well-Built: Their durable polycarbonate lens will resist the test of time, keeping the housings looking new for many years to come. The powder-coated cast aluminum housing is light-weight and much stronger than comparable plastic alternatives. Doubling as the heat-sink for the LED's, the housings completely protect the internals from moisture and road debris. We've sold many thousands of these fog lights and to date, have only seen one or two develop a problem...no joke!

Finally I received my pair, and by far it's better than traditional LED bulbs, the color is nice and looks like OEM
Easy to install and it complemented my OEM HID w/ 5500K Morimoto XB Xengreen (2014 Mazda 3) well. Very happy with this purchase.
At first I was hesitant to buy these because, frankly, they aren't cheap. I decided to pull the trigger because I wanted something functional and better looking than the oem fog lights on the mazdaspeed 6. I was first blown away by the quality of the materials used to make the fog lights and lens looks sick. I opted to include the yellow lamin-x film and I cannot be happier with the results. It is everything I expected from these foglight and money well spent. Lights are very pretty during the day and lights up the road at night. The yellow film gives the foglgihts an ion yellow or pearl yellow color that looks really cool during the day. Install was pretty straight forward, but anyone with an 03-08 mazda 6/mazdaspeed 6 knows that it is a pain in the ass to have to remove the bumper just to get to the fog lights.
Highly recommended lights!
I bought these for my 2014 Mazda6 GT. Install was mostly a breeze-- driver's side was perfect. You don't have to remove the bumper, but make sure you at least peel part of it away from the passenger-side fender for room to install the passenger-side light.
Fitment was perfect, and wiring was a breeze. The lights themselves are WORLDS away from the stock halogens; the LEDs are brighter and more intense. The pure white LEDs put the stock 4300k bi-xenons to shame, too-- there's so much of a difference in color that I also bought 5500K D4S bulbs to match.
If you are on the fence about buying these, do it. You won't regret it when you see how nice the fogs look. :)
Ordered these to pair with the Morimoto HD Elite H11 low beams. These are truly a pretty plug and play operation as the Mazda fog light covers pop out with a flat head screw driver. 3 phillips screws and you're pretty much done.
Before, you couldn't tell if the fog lights were on our not. I did adjust the new ones to point slightly higher than previous (and I probably went to far and need to back off a little) but with the halogen bulbs still installed, the LED fog lights were brighter than the low beams.
I just installed the 5500k HID bulbs today and in my garage these look a little softer white than the pure white of the 5500k HID bulbs. I'll have to look closely at night.
Overall 5 stars all the way. Would recommend to any Mazda owner.
Just yesterday I installed these LED fogs on my 2012 Mazda3 Skyactive Hatch. My car originally came with the extra fog light package, and thankfully for this year, came in the oval shape (instead of the rectangular fogs fog on the MS3 and 2.5L M3s). I guess I took a gamble since the description on the site didn't state compatibility with Mazda 3s, but the installation was really easy. Just had to get access to under the car, put it on ramps or elevated and right where the fogs are, there is a part of the splash guard that can be loosened by three screws and one on the bottom of the wheel well. I figured if these fogs didn't fit, then for sure they would fit on the CX-5, so no loss.
Originally I had some Hoen Yellow fogs, which I thought had great color and output. When I turned on these Morimoto LED fogs, I could not believe the clarity and range that these provided. I did the whole proper fog aligning procedure, 25 foot away from a wall, 4" down from top line of fog light height... and I basically had to angle the fogs all the way DOWN on the adjustment screw if you're following proper alignment. I might experiment with the angle and may increase .5-1" higher to see if that would increase range.
I think I'm totally in love with these, the color, the cutoff, the wide projected light, the instant on with no warm up like HIDs... it just even looks cool when they are off when the light catches them right, and also there is no glare! I'm running 4300K HIDs and I could tell that there is a bit of a color temp difference, so in the future I might upgrade to a full Morimoto H11B 5500K kit. It's probably my current cheap HID bulbs being old so they are losing some luminance, but on the road these fogs mix in really really well with my low beams from the driver's seat, as they cast a pure white light in the immediate foreground. I just might have to spring for that H11B kit now! Get these fogs if you're looking for a truly plug and play solution and amazing light output & cutoff as they are projected well, and I'm so glad I didn't go through with the HID upgrade in the stock fog reflector housing!
I've had these installed on my 2014 mazda 3 for a few weeks now and they are great. Very easy to install. I have the CBI D4S low beams and they match perfectly when looking straight on at the car. However, when shine against the wall, the LED fogs are whiter in color but that's probably because the low beams are more intense. Still, these are great and I can now tell if the fogs are on or not. With the stock fogs, you can't really tell much difference with them on or off. Overall it's a great upgrade over the stock fogs and you will see the difference at night.
Fits perfectly on my '14 Mazda 3 (looks so sexy I might add). Installation was fairly easy. The only problem I had was that one of the screws that holds the oem fog housing in place was already rusted. I had to use pliers to get it out and eventually had to buy new 4mm screws from Home Depot, no big deal.
Unlike the OEM fogs, you can definitely tell the difference when you have these on and they're so much brighter! The color matches better with the low-beam stock HID too, which is what I'm going for. They're not exactly the same though as stock HID tends to be a little more yellow compared the the XBs. But hey, it's still a lot better compared to the dull yellow stock fogs.
Finally, a fog light for my Miata that actually performs like a fog light! Thanks TRS for offering this awesome Morimoto product.
